Global Release: Breakthrough in Engineering Mass Production of T1200-Grade Ultra-High Strength Carbon Fiber in China

In the still-chilly March weather, the JEC World 2026 exhibition in Paris, France, has become a gathering point for industry leaders. Since China's Zhongfu Shenying officially announced its successful laboratory-level breakthrough in T1200 ultra-high strength carbon fiber technology (with a tensile strength reaching 8,056 MPa) in early 2026, the progress of its industrialization has been a focal point for the sector.

At this year's JEC exhibition, Zhongfu Shenying held a global launch event for its SYT80 (T1200-grade) ultra-high strength carbon fiber. This announcement signifies that the independently developed product has achieved engineering mass production, once again igniting the domestic ultra-high performance carbon fiber industry.

Since Toray announced its laboratory-level T1200 carbon fiber development in October 2023, Zhongfu Shenying has developed an engineering-grade T1200 carbon fiber in less than 2.5 years. This marks the world's first T1200-grade carbon fiber product to achieve engineering-scale mass production, reaching the global top tier of the industry.

This significant breakthrough demonstrates that China has achieved full-chain, self-controlled capability in the high-performance carbon fiber field—from fundamental technology and equipment development to laboratory success and finally, engineering mass production.
